Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?
Do you accept insurance?

The cancellation policy can be found here:

I do not accept insurance. I accept private pay, HSA/FSA cards, and I can prepare an invoice with the billing and diagnostic codes that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network benefits, if your plan offers them. I do not perform any insurance billing.

I also accept the following:

  • Victim's Compensation in Colorado and Arizona

  • San Miguel County/Tri-County Behavioral Health Scholarship in Colorado

  • The following Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs):

    • AllOne

    • Association of Corporate Counsel

    • CuraLinc

    • ESI

    • Optum

    • Ulliance

    • Wellspring

How long are therapy sessions?

Most sessions are 50 minutes. If EMDR is being used as treatment, 90 minute sessions may be beneficial and produce more efficient results. I also offer couples intensives, which are typically two consecutive six-hours days plus breaks.

Where do I have to be located to be a client of yours?

I am licensed in Colorado, Arizona, and Virginia. As part of Compact Counseling, I will soon be able to meet with people living in Minnesota and Ohio, and eventually many other states. Depending on the country you reside in, I am available for international tele-therapy.
